Let me help you take the stress out of navigating through your child’s milestones. It always saddens me to hear parents talk about their child’s development from a place of fear and comparison.
Milestones can be a triggering word. As parents, we often feel pressured to compare our child’s achievements to lists and norms that don’t take the whole child into consideration. That’s where I come in - I love helping parents find the joy in supporting their child’s developmental journey at their own unique pace. Through education and hands-on training, I help parents understand how to support their child’s development - and have fun while doing it! I love watching parents transition from looking at milestones through a lens of worry to one of curiosity.

Prior to starting Mighty Milestones, I worked in various pediatric settings including outpatient, school and in a NICU follow-up clinic. I gained valuable experience that I can now apply in a more personalized setting. I truly love my job and nothing gives me more joy than empowering parents in the care of their child. I can't wait to meet your little one!

My approach to plagiocephaly treatment is unique - when referred before 4 months of age, I can successfully correct head shape without the use of a helmet. I trained directly under the plagiocpehaly guru who founded Baby Begin in Dallas, TX. I am so excited to implement this form of pediatric PT in Columbus!

Seeing patients in their home setting has been such a game-changer. My patients are in their own space, so cooperation and successful outcomes both increase. In the outpatient pediatric physical therapy setting, most patients take weeks to warm up to the sterile-looking treatment space. During my sessions, families are directly involved, so they feel confident working with their child outside of my sessions.
I was born and raised in a small suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. I got my Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University and decided to earn my "townie status" by staying at OU an additional 3 years to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I still love venturing back to Athens every few years for a visit! I've been happily married to my husband and fellow bobcat, Mark, for 10 years and we have 2 sweet kiddos and an adorable rescue pup. Family time is so valuable to me, which is why I love using a model of care that allows parents to be directly involved in their child's therapy and limits time spent commuting and sitting in waiting rooms. In our spare time, we love to travel and explore national parks. I also love exercising, musical theater and finding restaurants with great vegetarian cuisine!
Our son was born with a critical congenital heart defect that left him with some gross motor delays after his first surgery. He started seeing Jaime as an infant and saw her until he was 3 years old when we moved out of state. He went from being behind with all milestones to walking, running, moving everywhere and loving life! After so many years of being surrounded by therapists, I can tell you there is no better than Jaime! She will take care of your kiddos like they are her own! I can’t recommend her enough!!
Jaime was wonderful to work with. She was extremely prompt with communication. Her noninvasive methods were very practical, easy to implement, and helped us avoid having to get a helmet for our baby. Highly recommend contacting her asap if you have a newborn, as the earlier you start implementing her methods, the better!
Jaime is the best of the best. Our little guy has has been seeing her in our own home since he was 3 months old for both plagiocephaly and general PT due to torticollis and hypotonia. We had previously been told at around 6 weeks old by another PT that he would for sure need a helmet to correct the flat spot on his head due to his torticollis from his ICU stay. Helmets are expensive and not ideal in the summer months! We were referred to Jaime right at the perfect time as we were beginning the helmet journey. With Jaime’s expertise in positioning during sleep and her overall physical therapy plan of care, our son’s head was reshaped WITHOUT a helmet and looks absolutely perfect! If you are thinking about reaching out- do it! She is professional, but relatable + works so, so well with our little guy. He has made significant gains in such a short time not only with his head shape but his overall gross motor skills. Not to mention she is always there to answer a silly PT question from me over text and has set up a great home program for us to follow on our off days. We love Jaime!
Our child was flagged for a gross motor delay around her year check up. She always hated tummy time, wasn't able to roll, never crawled, & never went on her knees. We affectionately called her our "lazy baby." It is not an exaggeration to say that after an appointment or two she did nearly all of these!
Jaime came into the picture & completely transformed our child! You can tell with every exercise that Jaime loves what she does & loves your kiddo. She's so intelligent, skilled & invested in their personal development. Less than 5 months later, our squishy baby was confidently walking & even dancing like crazy at a wedding.
We were eligible for Head Start services. It's a great program with valuable services. But sadly, it was bureaucratic & took a really long time to get connected. By the time we were processed & ready to start, our daughter had thrived so much with Jaime we didn't even need it. She only wound up doing 3 PT sessions & at all of them, the therapist glowed about her development. We credit Jaime to that. We recommend Mighty Milestones & Jaime so glowingly this review simply doesn't do her work justice. She is worth it, & so is your child. Don't hesitate to get started!
